As people’s belongings continue to become smaller and smaller – and more and more important – ReturnLoop stepped up to provide a simple way to retrieve your lost stuff: serial numbered labels that people purchase and adhere to their belongings.
For Mike Starr, Founder of ReturnLoop, we set up an e-commerce solution using CRELoaded, an open source shopping cart. With Mike, we determined the business objectives and the aesthetic preferences. We applied a combination of built-in features, modules and custom features to create a full-featured e-commerce website that matches ReturnLoop’s unique needs.
It’s worth noting that that there are dozens of pre-made e-commerce solutions. As you might expect, whether it’s shipping, handling, international currency, etc., the out-of-the-box solutions rarely anticipate all of your needs. As self-evident as it may be, every store owner has a unique workflow and very few people have the same needs.
Running nearly all of his business functions on the web, Mike needed a site that could easily perform all of the steps of this service in an efficient and user-friendly manner. The customizations that we added include tools to allow customers to log in, register their sticker serial numbers and to choose to remain anonymous when their lost gear is found.
In addition to dealing with traditional shopping cart transactions, ReturnLoop’s site needed the ability to process the activation and retrieval of hundreds of indentification tags. So, we created a custom e-commerce site which utilizes a feature-rich shopping cart for ReturnLoop.
