Lincoln Surveying has been a professional land surveyor for over 20 years. As they began working through a process to take their venerable business to the next level, they saw the need to update marketing materials to represent the firm in a more professional way. The image of yore was one that reflected a roll-up-your-sleeves, get it done attitude that has served the firm well over the past years. With a renewed focus on growth, Lincoln Surveying decided to put some polish on the first impression.

Our work started with a basic branding package – logo, business card, letterhead and envelope. To help them maintain brand integrity in their existing workflow, we created a digital version of their letterhead to use on proposals as well as a digital version of their logo to drop into surveying documents and that they can send to architects. We quickly repurposed the logo for truck signs, job site signs, hats, shirts and more. All of the pieces incorporated the new color palette and the client’s wish to impart a sense of establishment, integrity and vision. Plumb bobs and tripods were strictly forbidden.

Lincoln Surveying Website

Our follow up to the identity package was a completely overhauled website. The scope included the ability for the client to update the site themselves with a content management system, a search field, contact information for all of the staff, a feedback form for clients, and a login portal to Basecamp, their client file management system. A portfolio of finished projects is also included, with projects such as the Downtown Mall (City of Charlottesville), Monticello Visitors’ Center and a very tricky site at 1707 JPA. Visit www.lincolnsurveying.com to find out more.
