Accolades
After completing a handful of projects with various University of Virginia departments, we were very pleased to learn that we have been graced with a 5 Star Rating in Web Design. Rating criteria include Customer Service, Price, Quality, Delivery, Invoicing and Overall.
We've received local recognition from The Central Virginia Chapter of the American Marketing Association in their Excellence in Marketing competition. We have a 1st place for our website as well as an honorable mention for a clients site. We were a silver winner in the print advertising category as well.
History
Birch Studio is a small, woman-owned and minority (SWaM) certified Virginia business founded in 1996. Our office is in the business district of downtown Charlottesville. David Robinson, Creative Director, started the business after finding a match between his skills for listening and interpreting and those required to build professional, creative work on demand. Jenny Robinson joined the company after a few years of steady growth, and helped accelerate that growth through her ability to quickly connect with people on a personal level.
A few years later, Birch Studio was doing enough work to start hiring one designer, then another, then another. With the boom of the Internet in the nineties, we added web design to our repertoire, first by partnering with others, then by mastering it ourselves and bringing it in house. This enabled us to have a complete team that communicates quickly and often while at work or at the water cooler.
We know the best ideas often come when you're not looking for them and have always leaned toward a single shared workspace. We purchased our office at 619 East High Street in 2006 to give us that permanent home which further facilitates the stability needed to take creative risks.
We offer complete branding, graphic design, web design and web development services. Typical projects include corporate identities, logos and websites, package design, direct mail and email campaigns for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as strategic implementation of complementary services.
Our goal is to help our clients achieve profitability and growth by creating effective marketing collateral that attracts potential clients and helps inform and retain your existing ones. Our services are ideal for firms that rely heavily on polished communication materials, have ongoing needs fueled by growth and require a high degree of customization.
